For a moment I thought you'd be using the MiG 31 for the animation😅

They pull back with 3/4 or 1/2 size front cannards, not engines. Because all other surfaces are completely stalled, and they've never heard of frontal flap.

The low speed is not so that the pilot doesn't pass out, it's so that you don't rip the wings off

Last time I check you don't fly full afterburner during a cobra

Fun fact: the kulbit manuver is basically the cobra manuver but harder (literal backflip)

well I think that raptors are pretty hard to nail. Like falling leaf

Это не самый сложный, есть ещё десятки более сложных (как например колокол квочура с последующем выход в управляемый штопор и кручением ветков, такой трюк на су 57 сделали на каком-то авиашоу)

Pugachev posture is not such tough provided one is enough exposed to the controls of Mikha and Sukhoi variants. Good thing is Soviet Jets are more reliable and trustworthy with human interactions instead of control unit processors. Manual inputs are more important to perform jet superiority moves.

If the pilot passes out, how do they push the stick back ??

Pretty sure the cobra isn’t the hardest jet maneuver

Love how people still think is easier to perform it in Russian jets because of thrust vectoring but it’s actually because of the size of the plane being huge and most people also don’t know u have to turn off the flight computers on board witch is very dangerous and videos of it is rare because their is only 7 test pilots that can safely do a cobra because it’s not something u should be doing

The swedish were doing it before anyone. It also isn't really a useful maneuver in combat. Just looks cool

Just get a AOA of 90 degrees, and the kvochour bell manuveur is harder

This is not how you do the cobra. Just randomly pulling back on your stick isn’t going to pitch you at 90 degrees that fast. How you would do it, is cut the throttle and either dip the nose and then pull up, or if going slow enough then just pull up.

The issue is that manuver is completely useless in modern combat situations these days it's all about BVR in a conventional war not to mention in a dog fight it takes all of the energy away from the jet while at the same time making a larger target for a gun kill

youre actually wrong theres an ASC switch wich when on the computer will not prevent you to the maximum pitch
