I managed one 3 minute flight on a remote tiny island in free flight before it crashed. The plane felt like it was on rails.
99% of the time it wont even start a flight.

It's done. Over. 4 years of 2020 and they still couldn't fix it and (realistically) made it worse. I mean, look at what they did with SU15.

I really convinced myself that Asobo "had it" in the bag and would blow us all away with 2024.

Horrible LoD, things that were promised are missing, let alone I can't even setup my controls properly (can't use an Axis for Landing Gear, for instance).

"It's just launch issues" I've told myself, but after playing, it's honestly horrible and I'm beyond relieved I didn't give these fools any of my money.

Keybinding hardware controls is almost impossible on Xbox at least

Once I discovered DCS World, I began to only use MSFS 2020 as a glorified Google Earth Simulator. When taking off or landing in DCS on a multiplayer server, you actually have to look because there is damage and crashes. Damaging tires on take off or landing adds to the realism and creates a sense of danger and urgency.
PS I would have tested this sim on a low level flight in a fast jet over NYC to see the texture pop in and texture streaming.

I have 750mbps average with my internet, and have my Xbox Series X hard wired using an Ethernet cable. The world map textures are a blurry mess to the point i can't even select a runway. If i finally get lucky and load in, the ground textures are exactly what you have in your thumbnail. How did you walk in 3rd person? If on xbox, how do i do that?

Thanks for your thoughts. My initial thoughts, frankly, are that in 2024 we shouldn't be forced to accept 'initial bugs' on a franchise that has been operating for so long from such a large player. In particular, is it too much to hope for (or expect) that the various region upgrades made to MSFS 2020 would be brought in as a baseline for 2024? This is such a step backwards. I've already switched right back to 2020 and have learned my lesson for future versions.

Yesterday, I applied and received a full refund from Microsoft for this heap of rubbish. Uninstalled 2024 and reinstalled the 2020 which is so much better.

For me in vr it was stuttery and ground textures looked awful blurry, fs2020 is much better, hopefully they can get it sorted

The game works really well for me on Xbox but there is certainly room for improvement. Maybe being in Australia helps because when I’m playing the US and Europe aren’t.

I've already cancelled my game pass that I took for one month since I don't expect the sim to be ok for more than a year.
