Narayan Murthy says India will never be as good as China!

This time, he says that India will never become a manufacturing hub as big as China. He says it’s because the Indian Government is inefficient and the Indian Worker is not motivated. Govt is definitely not accountable,
Citizens have less wage. They can go extra extra mile if paid for every extra hour of work.

I think he is taking our parents method, the way they use to taunt us to work harder he is using the same strategy to work us harder. But I would obviously work more then 8 hours but on me not for Infosys.

Yes, the government is not accountable for most of the things. But he cannot push every thing on the workers also. We don't secure and safe working conditions.
We don't have the equipment like China do.
We don't have experienced workers or seniors to help in situations when needed.
We don't have good and world class institutions like China do. Even IITs are not even close to them.
If we need higher efficiency and profits in manufacturing, everything should be correct.

I think we are missing 2 most important points:
1. China controlled population with iron fist leading to better education and then limited labour supply means rising wages.

2. They don't have democracy. So, policy continuity over long period of time. And limited/no expenditure on freebies allowed them to spend on infrastructure and subsidies on production. The subsidies allow the industries in initial phases and once they achieve scale, they don't need it yet stay competitive globally.

Most of my work life, I have performed better than most Chinese and other countries people, i worked in MNCs so far for last 20+ years....I knew my counterparts well and they didn't perform even half as well

He is absolutely right, China is way aheas of us and are going to disrupt every industry in next 10 years.. Forget about catching up, if we can survive, that would be gr8..

about that pride part i would agree because unlike other developed country most of indians hate learning about the history of our country and with each government there come same changes in perspective of history in the NCERT which is followed in the schools

I was watching a movie other day and there was national anthem but people didn't care to stand up so that time I felt people don't have pride of nation.
Even my friends and others who are going to foreign countries they talk like India is so cheap wheather it's people, places and parliament.
I also feel sometimes when I see people throwing waste while traveling and eating (like bottle or packet) even though the dust bin is few meters away this shows the laziness and food is so cheap nowadays that people are not graceful that made them more lazy.
This is something I don't like in society but then I remember my family, friends, teachers who are honest citizens and care the surrounding like home that gives me hope but still it's in minority.
I hope every house teach it's youths to be a sustainable citizen and care about society
