This is the most useful self levelling video I’ve found so far, another guy suggest just troweling and leaving for the the compound to find its level on its own, is this correct?

Read the instructions folks! Follow the instructions. Some tips may be helpful yes. But when it comes to mixing ratios, follow the instructions. You add too little or too much water then the consistency amd the strength will be compromised. May seem all good at the beginning. But it may fail later. And if it does have fun redoing everything. It's your gamble.

Not using a latex compound instead of a water based screed, that’s your key mistake 😂

You don’t use primer to add on top of existing hardened self leveler

Some good tips but, IT'S SELF LEVELING. You don't need to be anal about highs and lows. It will end up level.
