so when pouring the product you just spread it out a bit and push it around with that tool you were using and it levels itself out correct?

How would you do some of this with a Slab foundation? No subfloor.

You know I learned it the old fashioned way with metal strips or whatever you call them, every 60cm and you make them perfectly level or how you want and than put normal concrete in between and pull something over the metal to make it straight. Easyer and cheaper than screws and self leveling concrete.

How about just pouring your own base.steer customers away from 4pc units or acrylic shower bases.and skip all schuter products. Pouring a base out of mortar is not hard.

But don't you want the water to not puddle. To drain away. if the surface is level, you will get a lot more water sitting around. I've seen this in a lot of homes and on streets because they do level and not a slope towards the drain.

This is ridiculous. I would never do a shower pan like this.
I have probably done over 300 bathrooms and haven’t had one of them fail in over 30 years.
The reason for that is because I hot mop, every single one of my shower pans I don’t do this Mickey Mouse work.
I have probably ripped apart 10 showers that were done this way that failed after just a few years.
You run your perimeter blocking call for Hot Mop there in there for less than a few hours. Last thing they do after the hot mop is fill up the pan with water and leave it under test for two days you know you’re 100% waterproof. Then you pull plug that the Hot Moper put in the drain watch all the water drain out evenly and Hot Mop Was installed properly proper drainage and water flow to the drain. With a hot mop, they give it a slope to the drain so water will drain off then you finish your slope with your pan float. Then ready for tile install. This is the way don’t do it the way it’s done in this video it is Mickey Mouse work
