What is the ideal fever temperature of my baby to visit the doctor?- Dr. Jyothi Raghuram

Ideally, temperature more than 103 or 104 degree F is considered as high grade fever. However, more than the degree of temperature, it is important to see how your child's behavior. Even a viral fever will start with a very high degree of temperature on day 1 and If the temperature comes down with paracetamol and the child's behavior is reassuringly normal in between fever spikes, then there is nothing to worry. If the fever persists for more than 48 hours and if it is persistently high grade and not touching the baseline, then you should visit your pediatrician.
