Inkscape: How to Remove PNG White Background

If you are getting a WHITE BACKGROUND when you export PNG files, do not despair! In this video I cover how to make sure that your Inkscape will export TRANSPARENT BACKGROUNDS on your PNG files every time.

In the case of a frame where you want to take out the interior of the image, how do you do it? I make colorful images in powerpoint, but am stuck when taking out the white interior. Thanks

Sorry I have got a question off the topic of this vid as you've inspired me to create vintage art prints
How do the Etsy shops sell their prints in different aspect ratios without cropping or distorting the image lets say original is 2:3 then I want to create a 3:4 ratio or 4:5, Do they just add a border or crop on these different rations not to loose the quality image or just stretch
I'm looking to do fine art prints from the PD and trying to create some files in different sizes

What if your image is in color and you're trying to remove a black background ? It's not giving me the same results :(

HELP! :) I am just getting into Inkscape and have version 1.3.2 downloaded 1/15/23. I am having this issue with the white page background and came here looking for answers. Great video BTW. this was not that hard because the dinosaur is one color and black. I have a clipart made of different layers groupped altogether. In inkscape afte the trace bitmap, it extracted something else and still left the background untouched. I tried multicolor and pixel art, same thing. I was able to remove background of a piece art in Paintshop Pro, but I need to do is in Inkscape because most of my designs are watercolor either scanned or photographed. Thank you kindly.
