Just a small clarification. There have been no produced films under the banner of BR films since Bhoothnath. However, As they own the IP of the original Ittefaq & Pati Patni Aur Woh, the remakes credited the original producers. The late Ravi Chopra’s wife is credited in both films as a co producer

Amitabh in initial 90s opening his production house then producing several films that mostly led to flops resulting in its bankruptcy and him losing his heroic phase in the process then rising like a phoenix with aged roles in mohabbatein will remain legendary & inspiring for the every generation of heroes. That's why he is BIGB ❤

When Raj Kapoor joined Prithviraj Kapoor, his father.. he made him clean the sets, be the light boy etc. before turning into a director. Hence Raj knew each and every aspect of production. Raj Kapoor was probably the only one who knew the pulse of the audience and reinvented himself. The only man who could mix commerce, business, and art together. He would have 1 flop but would return with a blockbuster. Aag flop, Then came barsaat ; Boot Polish flop, then came shree 420 ; Mera naam Joker flopped ; then came Bobby. When Mera naam joker was flop, apparently a lot of actors volunteered to film for free for his next film. But Raj kapoor decided to go launch his son, choose a teenage based story, and returned with a bang with Bobby. it is unfortunate that post his death, the production house fell off. Could also be that all his children were more into the art than the business.

The silence after "Vashu Bhagnani, kya aadmi hain?" was deafening XD

2014 was the lowest point- Humshakals and Jackie Bhagnani playing the PM of India. There was no coming back from that.

I remember watching the Movie "Hitchcock" and came to know how Alfred Hitchcock after finding nobody to produce his masterpiece PSYCHO had to mortgage his bunglow to make that film. It was make or break for him... Incase the film had failed, Hitchcock would have lost everything

Raj Kapoor's studio was a labor of love that was built on the foundation of his cinematic genius and passion. Barsaat, Awara, Shree 420, Sangam, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Prem Rog, Bobby...
His sons were great in their own right... but they were not Raj Kapoor. All good things come to an end eventually.. also, the newer Kapoors like Kareena and Ranbir didn't care enough about their legacy to keep the studio alive. Life.

Ab's comeback is historical: He stopped producing films. He started doing character roles, adds and kbc. The deal was made like whatever comes from the ads directly goes to the bank to repay his loans and other personal loans was paid personally. And then after he never stopped working. Whatever the verdict of movies was but he used to get his fees like akshay kumar. Great comeback.

ahh, Sahara One, one of my favourite channels. Famous for showing Hindi Dubbed anime shows like Mowgli, Zorro, lion King and many others during the early 2000s,
Zorro and Lion king was my favourite

I was actually very sad about RK studios. I really wished they could turn the whole property into a film museum of sorts.

When the producers of 'Shehzada' suffered financial loss, Kartik Aryan has given half of his fees to the producers and even he was credited as the producer. Akshay Kumar was paid ₹80 crores and Tiger Shroff was paid ₹40-50 crores for 'Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan' which was not even worth it and I don't know whether or not Akshay had returned his fees after the movie's debacle but he has now started reducing his fees after continuous flop movies !😪

Amitabh Bachchan's bankruptcy has to be the darkest times any star ever faced in this country. The country's biggest superstar.. suddenly on the verge of being without a penny.. everything was almost finished for him. I remember the headlines.. "Fall and fall of Amitabh "
Little did those people know that just a few years later.. they will all have to eat their words and witness the rebirth of the biggest megastar ever..

This reminded me bangali movie "chatushkone "....movie nicely depicted how tantrums of stars, individual fights, stubborn egoistic attitude of successful stars can spoil the buisness of production house

RK Films was associated with a classy Hollywood type drama movies. I so want Ranbir to revive this legacy someday. I think he is the finest actor from his generation.
