What are the different types of widow spiders?

What are my favorite types of widow spiders and what are all of the species that live throughout the world? are all widow spiders the same? (no)

Finally someone shows multiple species. I knew i was seeing more than one or two here in Kentucky. The fish and wildlife people didn't believe me when I said i saw multiple species but I've seen most of these.

I found a Northern Black Widow and Southern Black Widow in my house. Very fascinating but scary at the same time

I have a blue-black widow that I can't find on the internet.
It's a shiny chocolate black except when backlit its legs turn glassy blue.
Could it be new/undocumented? Been playing with them for twenty years or so.

So far I have bishopi, mendovi, and tredecimguttatus. These spiders are very shy and not defensive unless forced by squishing them, from my experience.

In British Columbia Canada we have both the southern and northern black widows

The northern widows are more common in the interior and desert areas of the rocky mountains and the southern widows along with false widows are more common on the coast

I had what looked like a big black widow in my outdoor pool restroom, except it was slightly bigger and a very dark brown chocolate color all over. I could not see a red mark, but i smashed it before i could really look. I wonder what it was, doesn't look any in the vid, must of not been a widow.

Widows are such beautiful & interesting spiders with such a bad rap. It makes me sad how misinformed so many people are not only with widows, but most medically significant spiders. & just about all spiders in general. Spiders should be our best lil bug eating friends 💕

I found one that looked just like the white widow/pallidas last month on the 19th. I live in California but it had the same brown body with the white, round butt. I posted the pic on my Instagram when it was dead/dying.

I saw what I think was a brown widow underneath a train track in southern georgia.
it was pretty small; it looked just like a southern black widow but it was a medium brown, and the hourglass on its back was more of a tan/light brown. never seen one like that before.
