My mom used to buy baby food occasionally but there were no babies around. I remember liking the Blueberry Applesauce in a jar, but you could not pay me enough to try any of the meat/fish/poultry flavors. IDK if they still make them, but for a while in the 80s, you could get instant baby food - dried stuff you added water to - and OMG, the peaches and the sweet corn were so freaking good, I'd still eat them today lol.
