I am warning everyone who is thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator to think again. I bought a new one and started having a issue with it. They told me they could not fix it and they don't have any available. I was told they would refund me now they keep putting me off. I keep calling and get no where. It is under warranty. I have never dealt with people like this ever. I am going to seek legal action to see what can be done.

Don't buy a Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker will break after less than 2 years of ownership. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for their defective ice makers. The ice makers are very poorly engineered, and you will spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on repairs. Also good luck getting a Samsung fridge repaired, very few appliance repair shops are willing to work on them, and you will wait weeks, if not months for parts!

I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to Youtube it and think is this device something you want in your house

We got a great deal on our Samsung fridge, but after 4 years we now know why. Nice design and so far good temp control top and bottom. But ice maker quit and in door shelve problems.

After a year of problems with her SAMSUNG, my step mother was upsold into a $700 service plan. Then they could tell her why it was broken, but they couldn't get the parts for months. Still has issues and she's replacing it as a write off.

If a new LG model has a little badge on the front that says inverter linear does this mean it has a updated compressor?

Samsung appliances are total garbage. Our new Samsung $3k fridge went out exactly at one year old. We called Samsung and they said they would take care of it since it was so close to the warranty date. After 5 weeks of runaround, we were informed that they had no service in our area, and they would give us a refund. We said great, but after another few weeks of runaround, they told us "Some decision board" had declined the refund. We contacted a local appliance service to repair, and they said it needed a new mainboard for $1200. Our previous GE fridge made in America lasted 22 years. Samsung sucks!

I’d pick LG over Samsung but I’d rather have GE over anything

If you can afford get a speed queen washer and dryer. Who knows there could be some people who have 25 to 30 year old LG appliances that still work in the future.

Samsung and LG both had issues with their refrigerators; LG linear compressors failing and Samsung ice makers freezing. Both manufactures have redesigned their parts respectively. Samsung now offers a 2 year parts and labor warranty on the ice maker and LG offers a 5 year labor warranty on the compressor. Every (new/renovated) house that I visited all have a Samsung or LG fridge/appliance. Since there are more Samsung and LG appliances out there compared to American brands, repair techs will tell you not to purchase a Korean appliances since they work on them the most.

Linear Compressor replaced under warranty and still does not work . How do I know if the mother board was reprogramed ? Model LRFXS2503S

A while back ago was looking all over town for a rental unit, on one of them noticed the Samsung French style fridge(came with the apartment in the whole building) had a defective keyboard display. Granted it was a rental unit and no one would take care of them like the owner would.
On the other hand, this is a personal experience, whole family had left for Vegas for a three day trip & only to realize we had left our LG fridge ajar. Needless to say it had been running continuously; we moved out of the house four years later and it just kept going without any detrimental effect.

I regret buying my Samsung fridge (RS26DDAPN) every single day. It's poorly designed because it has airflow problems that make it have ice built up problems.

This fellow has lost all credibility recommending Samsung fridges. Sorry, but I personally know too many people that have issues with Samsungs

Why do LG refrigerators only last for 3 years? And why do they have no customer support I thought they were supposed to be a green company not filling up landfills with broken refrigerators. And you shouldn't believe the repair technicians but you should believe the person trying to sell it to you that makes zero sense.... Believe the customers LG refrigerators are garbage.

Never mind the fact there's a class action lawsuit for LG's compressors.
