The other day, I was walking around when the Witch of the Waste ripped out my heart and my castle crumbled apart. Presenting the NEXT EVOLUTION of Howl's Moving Castle! But this time, with 5% of the effort! Exciting! This is part of an ongoing series where I craft various things from my favorite Studio Ghibli films.

And a HUGE thanks to all the support from everyone on Patreon!

Creators mentioned in this video:
@ScratchBashing taught me everything I know about junk. Watch him glue garbage together in perfect configurations.

@GeekGamingScenics makes great terrain tutorials

I've been on this platform for 15 years and there are few people that convinced me to subscribe faster than this guy.

Excellent content.

13:28 In the book, Michael (book version of Markl) says that the day Howl forgets to spend at least an hour on his appearance in the morning will be the day he believes Howl’s really in love. Then at the end, Howl shows up to rescue Sophie looking an unshaven mess. So not having him look perfect is actually book accurate lol.

I'm a 51-year old, soon-to-be retired cop with a cynical attitude and a long-suppressed 10-year old boy inside me. Your videos have truly rekindled the magic I felt making my own Battlestar Galactica and fantasy castle models when I was a kid. I think I'm gonna have something to do when I retire. Thanks!

The bead leg scales are very snazzy, and this was a great build. Definitely love your slightly cursed narrative too

"Echolocation is key for finding craft projectiles."

This man is absolutely right. I too listen closely when my sewing needle shatters over the floor. You gotta find those suckers fast, before it's too late.

This is really impressive! I'd love to see Coraline's house and garden and I wouldn't be surprised if others also did!

“Echolocation is key for finding craft projectiles” truer words have never been spoken. Cutting off a piece of stubborn wire only to realize you’re in a room with a carpet is the worst satisfaction-to-instant-dread turn under the sun.

It is uncanny how much you and the you suck at cooking guy sound alike, it all works even though your channels are completely different from each other. The dry humor and rhymes are the best

I wonder how many others felt their heart skip a beat and almost stop at the idea of smashing the original.

The Borrowers' house from Arrietty is cute and would probably be fun to recreate.
This is absolutely amazing BTW well done

I know it's just a joke that you held a hammer to the last one, but man, just the thought of that had me on edge for a few seconds. Both versions are a masterpiece!

"How much is a trash sculpture"
In the art world, what you create is called an assemblage. Considering it took you over two whole months to craft, all the work you did to put it together and paint it,
Barring the paint, I'd say what you create definitely goes for a few hundred USD for sculpture. Just the complete castle looks like, if you auctioned it off, it would jump past 1000$ in no time.
Your work and craft is legitimately amazing.

Suggestion: the mystery shack from gravity falls. I think it would be relatively simple (at least compared to moving castle) and could look pretty interesting. I know you do videogame stuff mostly, but thought it might be worth suggesting. Love your work and especially the calming commentary and music. Keep doing what you want to do 👍

Any time I need feelgood pick-me-up I return to these old Ghibli build videos. It feels good to remember that when the whole world turns into trash, that just means Studson will be here to glue together said garbage into something magical bedazzled with rhinestones <3
