I was holding back tears, when I got the stairs at the end of the game, I legit stopped, turned around, ans ran back into the control room just to sleep next to B-12 one more time...

I think that they are putting some emphasis on the screens in the end for a reason . His consciousness lives on and so does his heritage. It made me cry so much and still makes my heart ache. The last human was a true hero who gave the future to the animals and companions who were seemingly holding the good of humanity. Best game ever and a beautifully fitting ending.
