I've been hearing a lot lately about people saying Elvis stole his style from black artists, and he should be disregarded because of that. I'm guessing it comes from people not knowing how music works. As a musician myself, I hear music I like and it makes me want to make music. Elvis didn't rip off anyone, he was inspired, and he did his best to create what he wanted to hear. Elvis was amazing, and true music lovers will appreciate what he did rather than try to rip it apart.

To all you young ones out there.. I am 58 years old and absolutely just fell in love with the way he sings and his personality and Passionate Wonderful heart and soul !! His love for music showed in every song he sang. He actually was a great actor.. just bad scripts.. His incredible good looks drove all us women crazy..lol.. incredibly gorgeous, perfection !! I was 3 years old and ever stopped loving him and his music. My prayer when he died when I was 13 years old was that Elvis Would Never Be Forgotten. God keeps answering my prayer. My kids grew up hearing his music..and their Mom singing and dancing to Elvis. Keep spreading the Wonderful gift that Elvis gave music!!! And fought a battle in history for white vs black people. He grew up poor and knew " the ghetto". Please share Elvis with your future kids.. his music, his incredible voice, passion and what he did in history. Than You!

So in his genes he was given the looks, the hair the smile and the voice able to hit any note he wanted and so smooth, even the name.
