Hi ! I wonder if this sub system takes any additional pc resources like memory or smth else ? Can i use all of the linux commands in this sub system cmd ?

I can finally get the best of both worlds, sure, I might lose the ability to have open-source fully-controlled by you operating system, but hey! I can finally become one of the cool linux kids without ever having to dualboot ever.

Heh, I remember that when this feature was released, some bloggers suggested that this is how Microsoft was going to kill Linux (at least on desktops). Like, developers will switch to Windows and have the same convenient development and testing tools from Linux. It seems to have the opposite effect: more and more people are interested in Linux. And given the weirdness of Windows 11, such as too high hardware requirements without any useful innovations, people are increasingly finding reasons to switch to Linux. Or at least try.

I have a desktop PC in Ubuntu Linux. It's a bit older but would I be able to download Windows onto that machine?
