Who had the best TET bike?

I've had a listen to the podcast, and I get everyone loves their own bike. I'm really lucky, I have two Nomad uprated Husqvarna bikes, an FE350 and a 701. I love the 350 on snotty, technical trails but 10 hour oil and filter changes mean for big trips the 701 takes some beating. So for me, if I'm riding with mates on enduros on short, sub 3 day trips, the 350. For multi day trips, I'll take the heavier and trail slower but tarmac quicker 701. I readily recognise I am properly lucky to be able to choose between an adventure enduro and an adventure dual sport but if I were forced to keep just one bike, it'd be the 701. If I were confident with valve clearances, maybe I'd have the 350, but I know my mechanical skills. Simple stuff, I'll manage. So the oil and filter changes on the 350 take me about 20 minutes. I love them both but for TET riding, the 701 takes some beating.

Greg - it was amazing to see my comment make it into your adventurespec email! So I am an avid listener of the TAMP pod and as always, it was great to get everyone's perspective on the trip and the bikes. My biggest disappointment was that there was no in depth on the 310GS (which happens to be the bike I've recently downsized to - with full Rally Raid treatment no less!). But the CRF was my other choice and so I'm still looking for more perspective as there may still be a CRF in my future :)

I haven't been on the English TET - but I have ridden Denmark, Norway, Slovenia, Croatia and some of Italy - and people should not be discouraged from trying it on bigger bikes. I did it on a transalp, and it's really not that demanding

Reliability, service intervals, fuel mileage, trail manageability, ergonomics, parts availability, and overall MSRP... I think you know who the clear winner is. The fastest bike to Starbucks isn't always the winner

I ride some parts of TET in Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkie. My motorbike is an old Honda XR 400. The best moto ever!
