My ex died from an od and his mom text me and said his blood is on your wasn't my fault and I live with the image of finding him dead on our kitchen floor everyday shame on that mother for making that girl feel the same pain I've felt. It's not our fault and it's not our battle or burden to carry.

When people came to me telling me they knew who gave drugs to my son. I stopped them dead in their tracks and said, no one GAVE him anything. He made choices I'm not proud of, but, to own up in his place, in death for what he chose to do in life, was sort of a closure for me. Yes there's a HUGE hole in my heart, but I can't hold anyone responsible for the choices he made. It doesn't hurt any less though. rip Ryan forever 37

My brother died January of 2020 and Fentanyl was found in him. My family and I all blamed his woman but as time went on I had to be the bigger person and apologize because my brother was getting high before he even knew this woman. Yes he had stopped so we was blaming her for the relapse basically but my brother was a grown man who made his own decisions. Unfortunately, a decision he made cost him his life. But his woman was hurting just as much as we were cuz she slept next to him every night. Now this is 2024 and she is my big sister she is invited to all the family cookouts and functions.. I said my story to say when someone dies we look at who we can blame first instead of looking at the bigger Pic overall. I hope this mom finds healing and one day reaches out to her and start with an apology 😢

This is what happens when u date or have a friend who has addiction issues or uses drugs recreationally. You WILL be blamed by their family. It's a horrible situation to be in. Love & support from afar if you have to.

My bf mom texted me one night saying if anything happened to her son while he was out driving while he had too much to drink it was gonna be on me and that she would call the cops on me and it felt so horrible and I felt even worse cuz I didn't go looking for him like I usually would cuz I was tired and exhausted of always taking care of him and making sure he was alive and not dead in a ditch somewhere, so to hear this mother say that to her is so upsetting.

I saw another episode like this where the mom kept the ashes from the gf and ran her name threw the mud telling everyone she OD her daughter and then had s3x with a dude on the bed next to her dying and all kinds of crazy shi. Girlfriend went on Steve Wilkos Show to prove her innocence and she passed the test. Never did any of that and the mom still acted like her pain wasn't nothing. A mother losing her baby is the worst pain and loss yes. But losing someone you loved hurts too.

It’s not right to blame her. As a recovering addict that had a boyfriend introduce me to meth and heroin and take me for everything and some - I take responsibility for myself. I ended up having the love of my life die from relapse and I woke up next to his dead body. His family didn’t blame me, in fact they took me in and held my hand through the grief when my own family didn’t. I have some of his ashes in a ceramic heart that they gave me.
