The book *‘Evangelism’ achieved its purpose, and Froom was elated. Years later, he wrote to Anderson saying, “You know what it did with men in the Columbia Union… They either had to lay down their arms, and accept those statements, or else they had to reject the Spirit of Prophecy.”* Letter from Leroy Froom to Roy Allen Anderson. Jan.18. 1966. In fact, it has worked so well, that even today ‘Evangelism’ is one of the first books used in a Trinitarian discussion.

*In 1946, in the book, Evangelism, editors LeRoy Edwin Froom and Roy Allen Anderson compiled E.G. White's statements removed from their original context, and intentionally inserted the word "Trinity" in subtitles, to advance the Trinity doctrine, even though she and all the pioneers were anti-Trinitarian.* Perhaps it was a coincidence, but Froom wrote his book after a return from a trip to the Vatican.

*Listen to what Froom had to say about it in a letter he wrote to Roy Allan Anderson on January 18, 1966:*

*"I am sure that we are agreed, in evaluating the book Evangelism, as one of the great contributions in which the Ministerial Association had a part back in those days. You know what it did with men in the Columbia Union who came face-to-face with the clear, unequivocal statements of the Spirit of Prophecy on the deity of Christ, the personality of the Holy Spirit, the trinity and the like. They either had to lay down their arms and accept those statements, or else they had to reject the Spirit of Prophecy. I know that you and Miss Cluser and I had considerable to do with the selection of those things under the encouragement of men like Elder Branson, who felt that the earlier concept of the White Estate brethren on this book on evangelism was not adequate."*

It wasn’t until after she died that these new ideas began to actually creep in. And as the chief architect Le Roy Froom says, when he presented these ideas, he was pummeled by the old timers when he tried to present these ideas. [Which is in his letter to Dr. Otto H. Christiansen on October 27, 1960]

The book Questions on Doctrines was the result of the meetings that Seventh-day Adventist leaders, in the mid-1950s, had with the evangelicals. In 1958, the Trinity was unofficially introduced into the Church when the book, Questions On Doctrine, was published at the request of evangelicals Barnhouse and Martin, who were preparing to write their book, Kingdom of the Cults, and call the SDA Church a "cult, " until the SDA Church leaders quickly changed SDA doctrines. This avoided the stigma of being labeled a "cult, " as Barnhouse and Martin would label all anti-Trinitarians.

Froom falsified the history of the original SDA pioneer position regarding the Trinity. This revisionist history can be seen in the books Questions on Doctrine and Movement of Destiny. While Froom is not the originator of this tactic he is most certainly the key perpetrator and popularizer of it amongst SDA. In 1928 Le Roy Froom's pro-trinitarian book, The Coming of the Comforter, was published. In this book, Froom teaches the false doctrine of the Trinity and, as John Harvey Kellogg did before him.

In 1960, Froom sent a letter to Otto Christensen in which he gives us evidence that it was his [Froom’s] personal efforts that helped to bring about this change in beliefs about the Holy Spirit within Seventh-day Adventism. It shows us clearly too that the pioneers did not accept that the Holy Spirit is a person like God and Christ, also that there was decided resistance to this change.
*This is when Froom said in his letter:*
*“May I state that my book, THE COMING OF THE COMFORTER was the result of a series of studies that I gave in 1927 – 1928, to ministerial institutes throughout North America. You cannot imagine how I was pummelled by some of the old-timers because I pressed on the personality of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead. Some men denied that – still deny it. But the book has come to be generally accepted as standard.”* (L. Froom, letter to Otto Christenson, 27th October 1960)

Uriah Smith's book, Daniel and The Revelation contained 18 non-trinitarian statements. All these statements were removed and the book was then reprinted.

The primary purpose of LeRoy Froom and his committee of 13 was to push this trinity god teaching into the Adventist Church? ... *"We are one with our fellow Christians of denominational groups in the great fundamentals of the faith once delivered to the saints."* (Questions on Doctrines, p.32). It is alleged that Froom was a Catholic Priest before he entered the Adventist Church.

1980 was the first time that the trinitarian belief was voted on in a General Conference Session without critical discussions. So now, if you are a Seventh-day Adventist, you are officially supposed to believe in the trinitarian doctrine because this is the official teaching of the Church today.

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization." Selected Messages. Book 1, pages 204-205. She goes on: "The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error..."

1 Corinthians 8:6
....Yet for us there is one God the FATHER, ....and one Lord Jesus Christ...
1 Tim 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus
John 14:16
...He will give you another Helper...the Spirit of truth...I will not leave you as orphans, I (Jesus) will come you.
(Jesus explains that Helper, the Spirit that the Father sends, is His spirit).
I encourahe everyone to research how the Trinity doctrine was introduced into Christianity, hundreds of years after Jesus ascended - youwill see that it was not somethimg that was led by God.

We sing HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, and there is the 4th verse that ends in; "BLESSED TRINITY." The sad part is, the original hymn had 3 verses and it ends in PERFE CT IN LOVE, IN POWER AND PURITY."
QUESTION:
Why the change?

"OUR RELIGION WOULD BE CHANGED."
George Knight, a professor, and prominent
SDA theologian makes this startling
confession in Ministry Magazine, October
1993 - "Most of the founders of Seventh-Day
Adventism would not be able to join the
church today if they had to subscribe to the
denomination's fundamental beliefs. More
specifically, most would not be able to agree
to belief number 2 which deals with the
doctrine of the Trinity."
In all actuality, this
would have included ALL of the founders and
Pioneers of the early SDA church.
Now the Modern Adventism today has God
the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit.

@6:20 Doug reads from Acts 5:3 - 4 to promote that God's Spirit is not his but rather is a third entity.
And yet the identity of the Holy Spirit in the said verse is confirmed and settled in verse 9 of the chapter.
'But Peter said to her, "How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit OF the Lord?' Acts 5:9
Yes... the Lord our Father HAS a spirit.
As recorded
'For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.' Matt 10:20
Amen.

Let US make man in our image. Genesis 1:26. the word US here is composed of two not three, God the Father and Jesus Christ. In heaven there is no Holy Spirit. If there is any, it is the Spirit of God the Father or the Spirit of Jesus, and not of a different Entity.

I found Pastor Doug Bachelor’s presentation of the Godhead to be quite simple to understand Biblically. God always teaches in very simplistic and minimalistic ways. But lately everyone is getting worked up over semantics devoid of any wisdom or spiritual discernment. It’s like everyone is trying to one up each other on their theological expressions and have completely abandoned the simple Word of God. The Bible verses are clear. Pray with humility and God will lead you to the truth of the matter.

It breaks my heart that we even have to have this conversation as the remnant church of the Revelation; for as long as we are fussing & fighting over an issue that should've never been an issue, souls are perishing for want of Bible truth & the revelation of the love of Jesus Christ... Who has said,
"An enemy has done this"(Matt.13:28).

"And to sustain his charge of GOD’S injustice toward him, he resorted to misrepresentation of the words & acts of THE CREATOR. It was his policy to perplex(to make complicated & difficult to be understood; to puzzle/distract) the angels with subtle arguments concerning the purposes of GOD. EVERYTHING THAT WAS SIMPLE HE SHROUDED IN [MYSTERY], & by artful perversion CAST DOUBT UPON THE PLAINEST STATEMENTS OF JEHOVAH. His high position("next to Christ"),  in such close connection with the divine administration(GODhead), gave greater force to his representations, & MANY were induced to unite with him in rebellion against Heaven’s authority." GC 496.1

My goodness, this woman was a true prophetess!

There is no difference between the Catholic Church's Trinity and the SDA Trinity. Do not be deceive

“The mystery of the trinity is the central doctrine of the Catholic faith. Upon it are based all the other teachings of the church.” — Handbook for Today’s Catholic, p. 11

I like Pastor Bachelor but his teaching trinity is confusing. ... Isaiah 43, 44, 45...There is only one God.

God the Father has commanded all the angels to worship His Son Jesus Christ; why is there no worship for the Holy Spirit. Never once was worship given to the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes I watch the trinity controversy then I as my self why the whole world is just fill of Trinity.
1.Buddhism is made up of trinity
2.Hinduism is made up of trinity
3. The Catholic church is also trinitarians.
And some other more from china and even the origin of sun worship came about from a Trinity.

Why does the SDA also have Trinity? Isn't this truly

@7:18 Doug states "Why did Jesus call the Spirit 'he' 15 times?"
Is it not for the same reason that Christ calls the Son of man a 'he'?
Is it not for the same reason that Christ calls the bread of life a 'he'?
Should not a Pastor know that a preferred method of Jesus in communicating is in the third person??
As recorded
'For the bread of God is HE which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world.' John 6:33
'When the Son of man shall come in HIS glory, and all the holy angels with HIM, then shall HE sit upon the throne of HIS glory, and before HIM shall be gathered all nations: and HE shall separate them one from another.' Matt 25:31
And what of the most quoted text of the Bible?
How many times has Doug read it and not notice Christ's own declaration in the third person?
'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.' John 3:16
Amen?

Thank you Bro Lawrence for presenting this sometimes misunderstood subject even among some Adventists. The word Trinity is not just an RC word, but simply a fitting word to describe the Godhead.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, “let the love of Christ constrain us, ” so that we don’t stir up unnecessary doubt in the minds of those seeking clarity of the Word🙏🏻🌟❤️

No single Bible verse supports doctrine was adopted into the church, it originally did not exist. The SDA Fundamental Beliefs' definition of trinity distorts the personality of God. It messes up with the whole story of redemption.

Likewise the word "incarnation" is not in bible.

Doug Bachelor's study on the Godhead is spot on. I HIGHLY recommend listening to that whole sermon.
I believe that God wouldn't lead His people astray for 2000 years with doctrine that's corrupted or inaccurate. He had the Waldenses and many others protect and preserve His word throughout the dark ages when ten's of millions of people were persecuted for His name sake....for holding to His Word. If God has the power to speak everything into existence, is He incapable of preserving His Word? Those that cry aloud about Scripture being inaccurate or changed are like a canker sore leading many of God's children astray. They are the worst for bringing Babylonian confusion into the church and dragging many down into apostasy. My goodness people, if a person is not preaching the three angles messages or are claiming that God's word is corrupted concerning certain scriptures, they simply have no faith in Jesus Christ and His Word. Be on guard people "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us" 1Jn 2:19
