We have talked in depth about the colour psychologies of individual colours, but what happens when you combine them into a scheme, what do they mean then? Let's take a look at what a Purple & Green scheme says about your models!

We hope this video was worth your time because, we put a lot of work into these videos, like too much time... so we hope you like them.

I chose green and purple for my space marine army. I chose a natural looking green similar to redwood leaves, with a matte purple finish. I really like the combination, but it took a while to find the greens and purples that don't look like a Disney villain. I'm super happy with the scheme, and I don't think they look evil.

Edit: I chose those colors because they are not only my favorite colors, but also the color of cannabis from the early 2010s

I didn't notice this color scheme used for villains before, but it was there under my nose all this time.

Excellent Lex Luthor quote. My other favorite was when Metron was flying him into the source wall

Metron: I will warn you a final time. Only a twelfth level intellect has the slightest hope of surviving what you are about to experience.
Lex Luthor: Then I'm over qualified.

Also, the Greek word chloros means pale green and is where chlorine comes from, as in extremely deadly chlorine gas, and is the word used for the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse - Death. So green also has a lot correlation both modern and ancient to death

Good video 🙂, just wanted to add a few points.

There are images of the Alpha Legion in purple and green. This could fit with your psychological profile, as there are descriptions of them wanting to prove their superiority relative to the other Legions despite being the 20th. And of course the Alpha Legion are experts at corrupting their targets in their own way.

In the Pokemon games, purple is the colour of poison.

As someone who use dark purple and dark green for everything as my color scheme of choice. Never have I felt so outraged and so seen. Hahahaha😂

There is also the Constructicons from the Transformers franchise that have long had these colours. I always thought it was a weird combination for construction equipment to be coloured like that but considering that one of them takes great pride in mixing dangerous acids there is a somewhat toxic element to them.

For me it's a combination of Neon Genesis Evangelion

I agree green is a tricky color to figure out. It's natural, it's youthful, it's growth, but it can have these negative settings of envy, sickness, greed and of course poison.

As a sisters player I also don't like the purple in the dark angels. You even mentioned it's like a "look at me" color, something the secret keeping dark angels wouldn't really be trying to do IMO. But great video I'll check out more of these to help with my painting ✌️.

Another good use of purple and green would be Tyranids, using the coconut crab pattern showcased here on YouTube for the chitin with purple as the central color and green as the edge color, and a pale green for the limbs.

I did my master of possessions in a very similar fashion to that Rainer72 fella.
Hedonistarii warband of chaos space marines lends itself to it very well. I had no idea why I painted him this way, it just felt "right" for this massively messed up evil purple wizard to have green accent and... now I understand why.
Fantastic video, as always 🙏

I always knew Buzz Lightyear was evil.

Lex is the perfect example for this, it’s not just the Superman scribe in me, he has every gift a human could want, money, looks, intellect, charisma, respect…… and it isn’t enough.

He is perpetually green with envy for Superman, not just the power, the love, the life, everything. Lex has everything but at his core he is a lonely, spiteful, unloveable man and because of that he has nothing.

I've been toying with the idea of doing an Emperor's Children destroyer company for Horus Heresy. Maybe I'll do it in purple and green. Or pick something to ally in with one of my many orange+green forces.

I don't think i ever consciously noticed, but now i can't unrealize how many villains, especially comic book ones, are purple and green.
Green goblin, the Joker, Lex Luthor, Mysterio, Kang and many many more.

Interesting! Thanks forgoing over these colors. I wanted to make a Blood Angel successor chapter that used them. They're heavily influenced by hive gang culture and lean into chem/flamer weapons.

Any suggestions for a purple main color if my green is a chartreuse? What might work for a tertiary or trim?
