NEVER Pitch a Pyramid Scheme on Shark Tank or Dragon's Den

the greatest pyramid scheme roast of all time, courtesy of Dragons Den, a show about investors hearing pitches and investing in them.

this video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it a Napolean Hill pitch.

Imagine being apart of a scam without knowing it and then realizing it on national television.

I love the lady. “Stop. Let him talk.”
Translation: “Everyone shut up. This’ll be funny.”

The first guy literally recreated the office scene where Michael Scott accidentally discovers he’s in a pyramid scheme

The first guy at least tried to avoid the word “pyramid scheme.” The second group literally said it with their full chests lmao

I still can't get over the sheer world-shaking hubris of the phrase "here's me, and here's the five Dragons under me..."

the producers knew they struck gold when they interviewed this man

She knew he was about to dig himself a grave in national TV. She said “hold up,
Let him cook” 😂😂

I like how he thinks the lady is helping him, while she's just showing him that his business is a pyramid scheme

The first dude literally dressed like a TV mafia boss.

I'll never forget the day my brother in law called me and asked me if I had ever heard of multi level marketing. He got sucked into it, spent thousands, held little presentations at his house, within a year, he had lost his marriage, his legitimate company, owed the irs thousands and is still struggling to recover from what I hear and this was over 10 years ago.

That first person has the vibe of giving a presentation to your professor, but you didn't study the topic

When he unknowingly started describing the pyramid shape I lost my ability to suspend disbelief. There's no way this wasn't scripted lol

You can tell it’s legit because his presentation has clip art of a woman smiling and holding wads of cash on it.

I love how Arlene basically just went "let him cook"

Arlene knew it was a pyramid scheme from the very start. She just wanted him to lay out the entire thing.

He got scammed by his girlfriend... Goes to show. Pyramid scheme scams don't come in the form of a stranger trying to sell u something, it comes in the form of ur closest allies

Those guys took one look at a dehumidifier, found out that there's water in the waste compartment and thought, "Yeah...I can sell this as drinking water." AND THEN tied it all up as a pyramid scheme.

The boundless creativity of man is not only inspiring but utterly unbelievable.

I love how the Dragon's Den woman is like, "Let him finish, " while the men are interjecting, then just swoops in with a succinct, "I get it: it's a pyramid scheme."

I think Dragons Den is much more appropriate. A mythological creature born of unchecked avarice, dragons horde wealth, are miserly, and will only help people if they benefit more out of an arrangement.
