I finished my IBM DA Certification... onto doing Excel courses, SQL certifications, Python, Tableau, etc, and then going to do 3-4 projects to put onto my portfolio and start applying. I am determined to get a remote job and I think it'll be fun.

Problem is the competition. When covid started, companies were hiring even People getting their education on bootcamps... And then after 2-3 years, if you look at Jobs, they always ask for a degress at CS etc and 1-2 year experience. Basically or you know the right people, or you don't mind or can do practices on internships without getting paid. It's not impossible, but the hard truth is that it's not so easy anymore. Find a niche you like and get really good at it, because it's hard if you get too lost trying to learn everything and you don't get an expert in nothing in particular. Good luck all ❤️

I got the IBM Data science professional certificate by IBM. Is it enough, including the projects in the certificate, to break into data analytics? Excel is not on a Computer science degree, so it can be learnt on the job, right?

Hey Shane, I need your advice and I'll really appreciate your input. I worked as an intermediate-level web dev for couple years and then kind of switched to project manager role in a web dev agency. I thought of doing a DA course from Coursera as it might potentially boost my PM career. However, my client found out my potential as a dev and he's been using me as a lead dev since then. I'm kind of confused at this point which path I should take - DA+PM seems much more interesting while I have a good chance of excelling at dev career. Please help me!!

SQL ... "es que el"????
It's pronounced "see-quel".
If someone walks into an interview and pronounces it "es que el", you're instantly disqualified.
