I'm Icelandic and love hafþór and what he has done, but there can't be any fan of strongman who doesn't love and respect Zydrunas for his pure strength and his character as a strongman, outside of the big 3 Icelandic strongmen, or even alongside them, he's my favorite ever strongman.

From when i was just a little kid to now, seeing Big Z competing in strong man was common and expected, that's why Big Z is just one beast of a legend! The most impressive strong man of all time. He might not be the guy who allways wins, but he's the guy that just NEVER quits!

At the time of this event Zydrunus was out of his prime at 39 years while Thor was in his prime at 26 years so that's a major advantage for Thor. In spite of that both of them were evenly matched (though Zydrunus dominated more strongly in the events he won as compared to Thor's domination in the events that he won) and neither could be judged as stronger than the other. If they were both of the same age then the results would probably be one sided in favour of Zydrunus.
