So, I think you missed something here. Negan's comment to Maggie, "You know what I think, " doesn't necessarily mean that he just wants to get out of there. He could indeed have meant he's in favor of letting them go and everyone walking away, because he just wants to get out of there alive, which is what he told Maggie most recently, when they were hiding from the reapers. Or, he could have meant he's in favor of killing them all, which is what he told Maggie when they had their heart-to-heart about what Negan did to Glen and Abraham and why. He told her if he could do it again he would have killed them all. So his remark, "You know what I think, " was decidedly ambiguous. Maggie was left to resolve the ambiguity, and she made her choice. We as the viewers are left to resolve it too. Did Negan mean one thing or another? I think, true to his character, he was ambiguous on purpose, so he could see what Maggie would do, see if he convinced her. That way he could make his choice, decide whether he could ever be safe around her. And this at last answers the question Maggie asked Negan, "Why would you say that...to me?" Now we know. I think this is one of the smartest pieces of writing on the show in a long time and amazing moment of character and relationship development.

I think Maggie knew what Negan would do. Kill them all. Thats what he told Maggie he should have done that night when he killed Glen and Abraham died.

Did you notice the look Maggie gave Neagan after he saved her? It looked like she wanted to hug him, possibly more…for a split second.

- Carver was the only good fighter with the reapers
- the stamina of Rosita and Diane and Lydia is endless.
- why can't Gracie do anything?
- nice of the Reapers to keep the schoolroom
- loved Connie & Daryl
- Why could Aron reach the pipe and not the window?
- all the Reaperfuzz was about some apples?
- Maggie is full Negan
- LOVED the episode

This episode was AMAZING! Now this is how The Walking Dead is supposed to be! It’s like the No Way Out of this season cuz so much happens, the fight between the survivors and the reapers, Aaron saving Gracie and Judith by killing the remaining walkers in the flooded house, Alden dying, and the 6 month time jump. CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MID SEASON FINALE!

I get the Maggie looks for Negans input but we know...Negan said he wished he would have k*lled all of them if he could do it again.

The worst part was letting Leah live. These writers are nuts.. they are messing with Darlys story, don't even recognize him much anymore. They have him fall in love with a murderess, & lets her go.She almost got him killed & still he lets her go??? Not very realistic to me! I don't know how he & Carol can have a spin off when they are hardly together anymore. They sure watered down that relationship!!!!

If I was Aaron, I would've just pushed that table up to that window, hopped on, and then climbed out. I'm glad Lydia had more to do though. i personally really like the character and am curious as to what shes going to do now. By the looks of the trailers, she probably stayed with Maggie at Hilltop instead of going to Commonweatlth.

When Maggie looked at Negan and he says “You know what I think” that’s a reference to a episode or two back when he told Maggie he wishes he would have killed every last one of the Alexandria, Hilltop and Kingdom people.

I don’t think he meant that “he just wants to escape and live” before Maggie kills the Reapers he just reminded her of their previous convo.

tbh thats one of the best episodes ive ever seen. Caver vs maggie, negan and eliza (with epic music), gabe as the sniper, maggie goin savage and killing the reapers with this epic music, aaron helping the kids, alden death, the priest, daryl vs the reaper, daryl and connie reunion, the whole production AND THE FUCKIN TIME SKIP PLOTTWIST WTF
