Skoda Kodiaq at ₹41-43L on road (with current discounts) is a much better buy :

11. Same or better fuel efficiency than XTrail.

Don't blame Nissan...it's our government policies and over taxing citizens which led to that kind of price....xtrail is a very good and loved product all over the world....the issue is price and that's because of tax of our government....our government almost taxes 40% of the price of the car which is India made and a cbu unit it can go upto 100% which is just mad.

I live in Japan and must say to the people blindly complaining about the X-trail is that all the Japanese SUVs in this segment are reliable, sophisticated and well rounded products. I would prefer this over majority of the bestselling SUVs in our Indian market even if it misses out on certain "features".

Some people are saying xuv700 and harrier are better than the xtrail but reality is that desi brands can't match the level of international products in terms of engineering, brand snob, R&D, reliability etc

Looks good, better than XUV 700, Safari, Hector plus. All of them. A good product overall. What its missing massively is wireless Android auto, apple car play (Wired? Seriously Nissan? you want people to carry an adapter in a car like this?) and ventilated/cooled seats. People can live without a powered front seat, or a tailgate. And ADAS is anyways more of a cosmetic feature than a practical one for the indian roads. Its rather annoying sometimes. If you are a rash driver its not gonna save your life, and if you are a good, responsible driver you don't need it. But the sad part is, CBU taxes are gonna increase the price unfortunately, and will put it in a segment above to compete with cars which are essentially bigger in size.

Nissan should bring more mass market models. They Have been selling only Magnite. Although they have announced that they will launch multiple models. They have alliance with Renault by sharing platforms & engines they should comeback in Indian market 💯🤘🏻
