Who is Odin/Wotan? [An alternative perspective]

Odin/Wotan is the mysterious wisdom bringer and god of the Norse and Germanic people. But in this video I explain why I think he is so much more.

Join me as I traverse legends, mythology, local histories, and ancient sites, from Europe, to Turkey, Egypt, to Easter Island, and right through Central and South America, tracing the footsteps of this enigmatic figure known as “the wanderer.”

"Through an Action, a Man becomes a Hero.

Through Death, a Hero becomes Legend.

ThroughTime, a Legend becomes Myth.

Through hearing a Myth, a Man takes an Action."

The Hopi tribe in Arizona have a similar story. This White Brother came with wisdom and prophecies of the days before a Great Day of Peace and that he’ll return.

Makes you wonder if we're stuck in a giant loop of history repeating itself.

Interesting. As far as I know, no one has yet to make the connections that you've made of Odin/Wotan. I've always felt that there was something incredibly ancient and primal about this deity. His eternal quest to gain wisdom and knowledge led him to sacrifice many things on the way (including one of his eyes) He is highly mysterious and thought-provoking figure.

The Mayans have a God that is called Votan that is almost completely identical to Wotan/Odin. It’s absolutely amazing.

After searching all my life for answers to my questions, I finally got answers with this video.
Only recently have I begun to study Norse mythology. I always found it impressive how on the whole world again and again similarities of the same "world view" could be found.
After this video I finally got the answers I needed to take the "next step".
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Please revive this channel. Especially in today's times this is what people need.
Greetings from Germany

Finally people who share a thought that I've had for a long time. I have often pondered the idea that the God's have visited all the lands of the Earth to teach them a better way. This is a well done video with a great speaker to tell the story. Cheers.

Outstanding video. Connecting the dots appropriately, in my eyes.

A golden nugget among youtube videos of humanity's ancient origins and the origins of our world's religions and spiritual practices that all have at their core.... the transcendence of the material and unity with the divine.

I have watched this video a few times now, trying to absorb all the information contained within it. Every time, I am amazed by the implications on our current 'world view' of history and who and what this man, Odin, actually was! I look forward to watching more!

Hi I'am German and its a common mistake to call him "Wotan" that was his name by Richard Wagner. In old German he was called "Wodan" or "Wuotan" in Proto-Germanic "Wodanaz"
