Originally didn't agree with the Ejections but after watching the mic'd up version I thought Tom Hallion explained it well and handled it well too.

I’m sure Tom Hallion and his umpiring crew were told by MLB that if chase is thrown at at any point and time during the game eject the pitcher immediately, warnings will not be necessary!

The pitch wouldn've touched Utley unless he backed into it, which he didn't

Funny thing about that last point... as the recent rogue video with Tom Hallion mic'd up indicates, the umpires felt they had to eject Syndergaard because the umps believed MLB would punish them if they didn't. But the announcers had a point... ejecting him just made it worse. And MLB certainly didn't help by making trivially little effort to punish Utley for the takeout slide that injured Tejada.

bro syndergaard didn't even get a warning. that's a neck for the ump.

If you're gonna throw at another player .. you can't be surprised about an ejection .. that was so intentional.. he didn't even try to make it look close ... I'm not being bias as a dodger fan ... because I would've liked to see retaliation like that on my team as well ..

This is old but, does anyone respect Utley for just ignoring it? He knew the situation so he didn't even pick any fights.

I would kick him out too. The umpire doesn’t need it issue a warning if he thinks the pitcher was intentionally throwing at the batter. He was obviously trying to hit utley or trying to scare him. Baseball is for playing baseball not for playing games. He had a right to throw him out.

ah but you couldn't throw out utley in game 3, right? yeah okay.

This would show up on my recommendations today lol
