This would actually make a good horror movie. The guy gets obsessed with feeding things to these worms, and eventually he starts feeding people to them. Then, he gets trapped with them and eaten alive.

In case anyone was wondering:
Mammals are the only ones that feel the pain effect from spicy foods. It comes from something called capsaicin that mimics a neurotransmitter that translates to pain or injury from heat or burning in the brain. Insects would only be deterred by physical heat or acidic properties strong enough to damage their bodies. Birds are also not susceptible to spice and are used by many plants such as the reaper pepper to eat and spread their seeds.
