Carolina reapers take about 10-20 seconds for the heat to kick in. I’ve been eating them pretty regularly lately and they’re incredibly hot. Although I don’t swallow it I just chew it all up for 30 seconds or so to get all the flavor and heat and spit it out because it destroys your stomach unless you had a big meal and normally I eat them on an empty stomach. lol
