Using both sod and lemon juice at the same time makes no sense. Lemon cleans because it is acidic, soda is alkaline, so it neutralises each other. It does make a pretty foam, but that does not help with cleaning.

If you've had a heavy piece of furniture on the carpet it actually crushes the padding as well..
Here's a better hack for you take a damn towel your steam iron, it will also bring the foam underneath back. Believe me the Ice Cube back is not going to do the job, if you've had a heavy Furniture in one place. Try it folks ladies and gentlemen whoever does the chores in Great Britain

Soak a piece of cotton wool in Zoflora or somethin and hoover it up..leaves ur vacuum smelling lovely for ages
