The CEO of Macy's this week steps forward and says that economic uncertainty is affecting all shoppers right now even affluent ones as sales at Macy's drop 5 %. Meanwhile, most Americans can't even afford life anymore as more people are just barely scraping by in order to make ends meet.

Macy's is a victim of demographics. 20 years ago, Macy's was doing well because MILLIONS of Baby Boomer women were age 45-50, and they all had to wear business-appropriate sportswear to work: I mean teachers, high-end clerical, and other cubicle-type jobs. You didn't need full lawyer suits, but you did need nice dresses and slacks. Now, all those Baby Boomers are retired, and younger women are either working at home or wearing casual Friday every day. Nobody wants to dress up anymore.

Well, we are here...I started my painting business Jan 2021. I have been watching this happen for the last 4 years, I thought this would hit a year ago. I pray that we can all stay afloat, because honestly it looks like a lot of people are going to lose everything, starve to death and no one will notice because they will be staring at their smart phones
