I hate how their answers are always "it's a top priority", "we are using every tool available", "we care deeply about this issue"

The main body that donated food to banks was the middle class. Now it's the middle class that needs food.

Our economy struggling with uncertainties, housing issues, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

Every trip to the store feels like a Costco trip now. Almost 100 dollars or more.

We make $15-$18. Rent starts at $1, 200-$1, 500 with a monthly income requirement of 3x the rent. Yeah.

When I was growing up in South Florida back in the 1980s you were seen as low income if you lived in an apartment---even a decent one. People only lived in apartments if they couldn't afford a house, and lived there till they saved enough money to buy one. Now 35 years later apartments are a luxury and you're lucky if you can even afford one. In Florida the price of one has shot up literally 10 times what they were in the late 1980s. Yet the minimum wage has barely budged. It's ridiculous. Pretty soon having a place to LIVE will be a luxury.

Groceries are up 12% over the last year, huh? I can't think of a single grocery item that I regularly purchase that hasn't increased twice that much in a year.

All jokes aside, you know times are tough when you buy a $12 Papa Johns pizza and stretch it over three days!

As a single mom, I am barely surviving right now and I work full time…. Trying is not doing…. I have had to ask other family members to bring in food to help me with my kids and I work full time…. This is completely unacceptable.

I'm 56, live alone in tiny one room apartment, and have worked hard 36 years in factory work. I can't do ANYTHING. No vacations, no restaurants, no gifts for family. I food shop at the cheapest store and buy only the cheapest items, and between rent, car payments, meds, and CC payments, very little is left of my paycheck. Now here's the scary thing; I am not going to make much more money at this point and I'm not able to do two jobs. What happens as expenses go up further, which they will certainly do??? Yes, I'm getting by, but now I am thinking I might be living in my car! This is not the America I once was so proud of. Now I'm totally disgusted with the blatant greed here.

Lost my 10 year job cause of Covid and exhausted my entire 401K that I built up to pay the remainder of my apt lease, credit card bills, and pay for essentials. Life is hard and I keep grinding.

Average wages not keeping up with the cost of living, paired with increased sticker prices is how the rich have been get so much richer, these last few years. The rich get richer and the poor get stepped on. That is life in America.
