A Girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell

After killing the Waif Arya returns to the House of Black and White to add the Waif's face to the Hall of Faces. In the Hall Arya confronts Jaqen. Jaqen tells Arya, that she has finally become "no one". But Arya refuses and turns away, after she tells him that she is Arya Stark of Winterfell.

So many people have wondered over the years what was going on with Jaqen's smile at the end, and why he seemed so pleased that Arya had refused the offer to stay at the House of Black and White. The answer is simple - Jaqen is not just a "Faceless Man", Jaqen *is* "The Faceless Man", the actual "Many Faced God" of Death.

And he just unleashed on the world the ultimate killing machine - A young girl, who wants revenge against pretty much everyone.

What more could the "God of Death" ask for?

I agree that he is really “The Faceless Man” the actual god of death and that he trained her to kill the night king. He planned that all along. He knew she was ready to go home and fulfill what he wanted to happen. He wanted the dead to die for real and not come back as weird zombie people. He trained her to be able to restore balance and he knows it. That’s my theory

Previously she was telling "I am Arya Stark and I am from winterfell" and at the end she said " A girl is Arya stark and I am going winterfell" hence she accepted as to be "no one". As a "no one" you can be anyone.

I always wondered....was this what he wanted or expected to happen all along? After this scene I started thinking: did he invite her to the house of black and white knowing full well she'd never become "no one"? Did he just take a liking to her and decided he wanted to teach her the skills she'd need to get the revenge she so desperately craved? His smile tells me yes.

it’s important to realize that Jaquen could have disarmed and shredded her in that moment, but he sees what/who she is in that moment as well, and allows her to continue on her journey of not only self discovery but of destiny
