Is the CANON 6D MARK II Still Worth it in 2024?

In this video I go over my thoughts on whether this 7 year only camera is still worthwhile in the modern age of 2024. The Canon 6D Mark II is a well renowned camera that was spat upon for its lacklustre feature set back in 2017. However, fast forward to today, and many people actually boast about it! This semi-professional camera sports the following specs:

- for photos, 6.5 fps using the viewfinder (3 fps in LIveView)
- video up to 1080p at 60 fps
- weather sealed
- Digic 7 processor
- DPAF (Duel Pixel AutoFocus)
- 26.2 mp full frame sensor
- 45 cross-type focus points (using the viewfinder)
- LP-E6N battery (same as 5D Mark IV & EOS R)
- EF mount

... and so much more!

Yes. It produces excellent photos, colors and has unbeatable ergonomics. And I’ve gad mine for well over 5 years..I think I’ve charged the battery twice lol

I would really really love to see how you can improve your focus on this camera, i have it, i love the colors it provides, i have several lenses for it, but my photos are not always sharp on moving targets. Do you mind helping with a video on the settings ? highly appreciate it if you can.

It's a good camera for photography, and not bad for vlogging or as a B-cam on a shoot. Just don't use it in low light. I have the Mk1 and the Mk2, and weirdly, I always switch to the mk1 for low-light photography. It must be the only camera in the history of cameras, where the mk1 beats the mk2 for low light. For everything else, the mk2 is better.
