So super that you are able to do this activity. For many, it's just a dream. Do as much as you can. Thank you for bringing me to my past. My wife and I bugout off-grid for 3-4 weeks in the Georgia mountains most years. Thank you and keep at it.

One tip I would give would be to pack your tent poles separate from the rest of the tent. That way you can compress your tent and it can fit in your pack.

LOVE HOW YOU LOVE THE OUTSIDE AND CAMPING. VERY NICE AND SMART CAMPING AND HIKING WITH YOUR DOG ❤️ ALWAYS HAVE EYES ON YOUR SURROUNDINGS !! I NOTICED YOU PACKING YOUR BACK PACK AND WHAT I DID FOR IS EVERYTHING GOING INTO OUR RUCK SACKS I PUT TWO TRASH BAGS INSIDE AND THEN EVERYTHING GOES INTO THE TWO TRASH BAGS ALWAYS KEEPING THEM WARM AND DRY AND CLEAN. AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR CAMPING YOU NOW HAVE A TRASH BAG FOR DIRTY OR WET CLOTHS AND YOU'LL STILL HAVE ONE TRASH BAG FOR YOUR CLEAN CLOTHS. I LOVE CAMPING WINTER, SUMMER, AND FALL TIME. LIVED MOST OF MY LIFE IN THE JUNGELS, DESERTS, MOUNTAINS, AND SWAMPS. 30 YRS US ARMY RECONDO VETERAN.

Nice. Water bottles always go to the side or bottom. If it leaks, you don't want it soaking your clothes and sleeping bag.

I always love to see people gear. Looks good! I think share the same tent as you - just bought mine this year on sale

😊 Nice pack. I’ve always wanted to get into backpacking but never really had a chance.

I really love you unabashedly doing your pack shakedown for the world to see. A change I’ve made over the last to years is TP 🧻 to UL portable bidet. There is a learning curve but practice (at home!) makes perfect on trail.
Not packing poop paper is a delight.🌿

I think this is a very efficient way to pack your backpack! It gave me ideas on how to pack mine a little better. Thanks for a great short!

I was a grunt for a little over a decade. No matter how carefully I planned and packed, I invariably found myself inverting my ruck and shaking it to get what I needed.

In 45 years and serving in the British military, hiking and wild camping all my life, I’ve never heard the lid of a rucksack being called “THE BRAIN” you Americans crack me up 😂

I love all your hiking videos. I haven't ever slept outside or carried such a backpack and the longest I've hiked was 30km in the Alps.

I live in Northern California and backpack in Yosemite. Over here we must use a bear canister to store food, chapstick, bug spray, basically anything with a smell. We don't need bear spray because Yosemite rangers advise backpackers to act aggressive toward bears, throwing pine cones and sticks and yelling at them. I once saw a group of teen boys running full speed behind a bear inside of Little Yosemite Village (the main camp site before reaching Half Dome) yelling and laughing and having great fun chasing this one bear. That same bear came back around 3 AM sniffing my backpack.

I have those Baffins, omg huh !
Crazy to be able sleep without cold feet! I got the wine color on Amazon for 12 dollars Feb, 2024. So tempted to grab another pair.

I got the booties for car camping probably ten years ago and those are amazing as well just too big for a smaller pack.

I’m sure stuffing your clothes in like that fills space but I never want to risk them getting wet so they go in a dry bag. Plus I like to be able to be organized at camp and have everything in one spot. Everyone has already mentioned the tent thing. I have a trekking pole tent but if I didn’t I’d put my poles down the side pocket too.
