Will Caitlin Clark break more records in the second half of the season and during the playoffs?

Not just Clark, but Arike Ogunbowale should have been on the team too. It's telling that she opted out for Team USA being "too political."

REEVES IS A DISGRACE, NEEDS TO GO, TAURASI SHOULD NEVER HAVE WENT AS A PLAYER, 3 OR 4 MORE SHOULD STAYED AT HOME TOO, FRANCE SHOULD HAVE WON, THE REFEREE SAVED REEVES, A LOT OF COMMENTATORS SAYING THE BEST 12 PLAYERS WENT, WHAT A JOKE, YOU COULDNT TAKE ANY ONE OFF FOR CLARK, JESUS, GET REAL, THEY LOOK PRETTY STUPID NOW, AT LEAST 5 COULD HAVE BEEN LEFT AT HOME, BRING SOME OTHER YOUNG PLAYERS

They are not the best team. The best team won at the WNBA Allstar vs. TEAM USA game. So the Allstars would have won gold.

It wasn't simply Cheryl Reeve who was exposed, it was the entire team, USA Basketball and Team USA. Everyone involved in the process of selecting, coaching and promoting Team USA failed miserably.

The team was filled with and run by petty jealous narcissists who refuse to recognize their egos are one of the reasons the WNBA has failed for decades. These women, while providing an inferior product, have blamed everyone other than themselves, for their low pay, flying commercial, lack of endorsements deals, while at the same time telling everyone how great they are.

It doesn't take a team of Rocket scientist to put together the best team. USA Basketball, and the coaches and players of Team USA are an embarrassment.

I wish the US women’s BB team would have lost. Just to show the nation how that their not as dominant as they think.

The hubris of the Selection Committee almost caught up with the U.S. team today. In a game where they shot 16.7% (2 of 12) from 3, and desperately needed crisp passing and dribble penetration from their point guard, they had a 42 year-old one-time great and a still-not-back-from-injury great sitting on the bench instead of the two people that should have been on the team.

So now CC has to wait a full 4 years. Meanwhile DT played her rookie year and again at 42 having absolutely no business on the team. They wonder why nobody really cared about them all these years. Little if any likability. Selfishness.

taurasi just went to the Olympics to get her last gold medal.

The Olympics just spotlighted the weakness of the WNBA's woke platform. The whole we're putting the quality of the team first and not fan base or promotion of women's sports, was shown to be a pathetic excuse for keeping the chosen few on the team and not putting our best team out there. Taurasi, Griner, and Gray should never have been on the team. Although at 42 Taurasi is still amazing on the court and to be admired for her contribution to the sport and the WNBA, she contributed nothing to the Olympic USA team. I still struggle to see what, if anything, Griner brings to the sport, the WNBA or in particular the USA Team. Griner is 6'9" but has the mobility of a fence post. Chelsea Gray has evidently done great things in the past and did make a few nice passes for Team USA, but does not have the speed or mobility to compete. If the USA Team had taken Jonquel Jones instead of Griner, Arike Ogunbowale instead of Taurasi and Caitlin Clark instead of Chelsea Gray, THEN you would have a much closer version of our best team.

The NBA All-Stars beat them handily. That tells you all you need to know.

Was CC left off the team because she is white & straight?
What else could account for the venom and hate directed at CC??

Fortunately Cheryl Reeve will be gone and Caitlin Clark will be on Team USA. As it should have been.

The second best team from the US squeaked by with the goal .... Just a few weeks ago this USA team got beat up by the WNBA all-star team with Clark and other great players left at home.

The USA Women's team is a reunion team where most WNBA superstars who were great once but are past their prime. Selection was not in the interest of the country's pride only their own.

There’s no regret just anger. CC would have been a great floor general helping set her players up for success. CC is better off without them.

When Alcindor (Jabbar) played at UCLA during his freshmen year players could not play on the varsity. They were national championship and # 1 in the country but Jabbar and fellow freshmen thrashed them by 20+ in scrimmage. The word was UCLA was #1 in the country and # 2 on campus. Same here....USA won the gold but the WNBA All Stars was a far better team with a far better coach in Cheryl Miller. WNBA-"Closed Sorority."
