If the US women’s team return from Paris without a gold medal 🥇 then this decision will comeback to bite US Women’s Basketball in the arse. You would have to assume that there is proper governance in place to ensure the selection of the roster is not down to one individual. If the coach has the ultimate call, then she can live and die by her decision. If they win Gold, then this non selection will become irrelevant. She is an amazing player and in time will be the #1 player selected Worlds and Olympic teams. I doubt the current coach will still be there. I hope Clark is getting paid good coin for making WNBA relevant again to TV audiences and fans.
