If you look around 0:46, you'll see a bunch of people surrounded by titans and have no way to go, whereas theres one person near the window trying to get his baby through it so that he can live.

(spoilers) This is directly parallel to the scene in the last episode where the baby in the red cloth is passed among the hands of the humans who were being cornered by the rumbling. I believe that this part is symbolic in the way that it shows that any living creature that can reproduce will do anything it can to ensure the life of the next generation. Isayama genius.
