Idioms are crucial in the C1 Advanced (CAE) Cambridge. This is because idioms help you demonstrate a RANGE of vocabulary. As a result, all students should aim to use idioms in both their C1 Advanced (CAE) Speaking exam, and their C1 Advanced (CAE) Writing paper (for informal pieces only). Using idioms add colour to your writing, and engages the target reader. Moreover, idioms will make your Speaking exam seem more natural.
