Tbh, I feel english translations in particular (at least with subs) have become a bit too weird. I feel they are trying to create subtitles just because they want them to get screenshotted and not because they make a lot of sense. I don't know, I also watch anime subbed because I am interested in the culture. Of course it gets a bit weird when (like in the past) you have to write a long explanation text at the top, but why not just go for a more literal translation here? Through her inner monologue, we already know that she wants to copy Japanese TV dramas, so just translate what they sound like instead of making something up to get attention. Just my two 2 cents about this.
