What US state has the most armed Americans? Montana tops the list with 65.7% firearm ownership.

West Virginia retired lady here. I have 6 firearms. Two pistols, a deer rifle and a predator rifle and two 22 rifles. While the pistols are for self-protection and discreetly stashed nearby, I live in an area where black bear, mountain lions and big coyotes stroll through yard at night. I've actually seen them and their tracks. A woman was mauled and nearly killed. when she stepped out on her deck one night by a black bear in a town near here a few years ago. Guns are for our personal safety here. Nothing more.

They just passed a law here in SC. That states we can carry a firearm with us anywhere we see fit. Unless the place of business post signs prohibiting firearms from being brought inside. Oh its good to live in Carolina! 😂😂

I'm a liberal Californian and don't see a need to have a firearm, but honestly, if I lived in Alaska or Montana I most likely would.

Most common because a rural like there a lot of wild life so you need to be armed to protect your household

Well it’s also that they have less people so the percent goes up. Georgia and Texas probably has more total firearms/ gun owners then the whole list combined

Well it's not a surprise that they're all red states. I don't know why but for some reason I thought California would be on the list but made him just thinking about how California is often portrayed when they talk about Compton and LA. Not to mention I'm sure there's a lot of people with firearms in Oakland but the fact is yeah I mean where I'm from in California there aren't that many people who have firearms. Santa Rosa's where I'm from although I don't have to travel very far to get to Oakland and the difference is night and day.

As an Idahoan I’m shocked! I’m telling all my neighbors to get more guns! I’m a woman in my 40s and I own 5 handguns and a couple rifles. My husband has 2x as much as me.
