calling a "silencer" a weapon is like calling a muffler a car.

Means nothing. What no one knows is how many firearms are actually in each state.

It should be mandatory for EVERY law abiding citizen to be Armed!

Why do people register their guns? We have a constitutional right to have them.

As someone born and raised in Alabama I'm here to tell you that the overwhelming majority of people in Alabama that have guns would never fill out an ATF form. The distrust of the federal government and law enforcement here is still very strong amongst gun owners

Sad that they consider a suppressor a weapon and not a safety device

Being a Texan I can hold my head high, but also as a Texan I am aware that probably 5 times that number that are not registered due to the fact that people do not like being harassed by clowns from a particular government group.

We Texans had a flag flying over the Alamo in 1836. It said "Come and Take It" over a cannon. All the Texans in the Alamo died defending it. We will still die to keep them!

“Registered” being the key in this video. Add in the unregistered and these numbers will be astonishing.

From The Four Boxes Diner channel, Mark W. Smith highlighted the Caetano v. Massachusetts case. In it, a threshold of 200, 000 was judged as being a common use firearm (in this case, stun guns). It's interesting to know that 7 out of the 10 states listed here have over 200, 000 registered firearms as the ATF classifies them. And this is limited to only registered NFA items. Combining quantities from all states, I would guess that there are over 200, 000 in each category (machine guns, SBRs, SBSs, silencers, etc). If common use has merit, it is long overdue that special regulation of certain firearms should end.

The real numbers may be more surprising since so many states do not require registration! 🙌

Those numbers are staggering. Pretty much proves guns AREN'T the problem.
Thanks, Jared!

Awesome. Guns not the problem. Shall not be infringed.

I’m from Texas...!!! I’m doing my part in Jared’s count. Texas, as large as it is, has more suppressors because we are actively against “Noise Pollution”...!!! 😎

I surprised Oklahoma and Arkansas are not on that list but I guess the key word is registered:) God bless

By these numbers I would say everything is within common use. Making the NFA registry null and void according to the NYSRPA case.

Destructive device includes what exactly?

From Florida and proud of being in second place right before the great state of Texas, just as proud to see the registered number of firearms per state. Now imagine the number of law abiding citizens in just these two states that DON'T have registered firearms with the ATF, MINDBOGGLING. Thank you for your time posting these numbers..😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Since we don’t register in Oklahoma I feel unrepresented 😅
