Some states in the US have laws like this. The laws are criminal. Some states, like mine, allow whatever force is necessary to protect your property without the penalty of law. Sorry to hear you guys went through this.

"Wait, where am I?" Looks around. He realizes he's in a garbage dump.
"Oh my god. Why can't I feel anything below my waist?" Looks down,
sees what used to be his functional legs. Beside him is a wheelchair with a
note that states "You are officially evicted" Around the dumpsite the
same scenario is playing out for all of the other squatters
