After his dad died, Flash Shelton says his mother needed to sell their home. When realtors tried to list the property, they found someone already living there. Shelton suspected it was a woman who he told could not rent the home. However, she moved into the California property anyway. Shelton drove 10 hours from Los Angeles to enter the home. Once there, he noticed boxes and furniture everywhere. When the squatter returned to the property, Shelton gave her until midnight to move out.

The audacity of some humans never seems to shock me anymore.

This is horrible. Why do squatters have rights? They have broke into someone’s home. Stole and used their belongings. That’s breaking and entering!! That’s stealing!! Why do they have the right to stay there? I will never understand the law!!🤔🤔

Wow, she is a corrections officer like” She has a right to tell other people they can’t be doing stuff, but she has a right to just literally move in to somebody else’s house after they say no. Honestly, this makes no sense to me whatsoever. It really doesn’t you know

"I'm really sorry about this." No you're not. He told you he wasn't renting it, you don't move in anyway. If his key still worked, she would've had to break in.

He did a GREAT job and handled it SMOOTHLY!!! No arguing. No cussing. Just saying it how it is and the squatter got OUT!!! I wish that woman well. I hope her situation gets better.

I don't know what's more Awesome... that he took Action to protect his Mom and their Property when the Police wouldn't or that his name is actually Flash. God bless him & his Mom. 👏🏽🙏🏽💕

My uncle bought a house in Texas and when he went to start working on it he realized a man had moved into it and been living there. Needless to say he grabbed his shotgun and came back and gave the man a option to leave.

Someone did this to a relative’s house while they were in the hospital. We went in through the basement with a police officer and turned off electricity, water, WiFi. Luckily, they were a high end bougie squatter and it was 20 degrees out they didn’t want to stay and have it uncomfortable. They moved out hours later. It’s a sad reality that this kind of stuff can happen. We were lucky they left.

He's lucky she was cooperative and didn't make it difficult for him. But she probably realized he could call her employer and report what she was doing. I doubt they'd look too kindly on one of their employees breaking and entering into someone's property to set up shop. 🙄

That woman who moved in knowing she was breaking the law should have been arrested right away. The owner of that property was way too kind . 🚔

I've always wondered why landlords don't do this with squatters. It's just like a repo.

That was probably the easiest one I have ever seen. It could have ended so much worse for both parties

She seemed like a professional squatter and knew EXACTLY what she was doing.

What shocked me the MOST is that the authorities wouldn't help. What a world we live in these days 👀

It sucks being homeless. But the fact that people can move in and just not be forced to leave blows my mind. Another reason i refuse to live in california
