Lenne, it is dishonest for you to misrepresent the vid. Ministry or service is needed from women, but deacons, elders, pastors & apostles are all men.

Is it not dishonest to say that there were no women in church offices in the New Testament? As an example: Romans 16 shows Paul sending greetings to several women ministers and apostles - such as Phoebe and Junia.

Clearly the authors of this video did not consult the original Greek text. Otherwise they may have seen that Phoebe is a minister (diakonos, translated as 'minister' 31 times when in connection with a man), not a mere servant as translations make it appear. Also, a scribe in the 13th Century saw it fit to promote the Catholic church's all-male priesthood and to remove traces of women in ministry, he changed Junia's (female) name to Junias (male). There remains no evidence that the name Junias ever even existed, as opposed to the original Junia.

It is sad to me that a thorough study in the original languages never occur in these presentations. Only relying on a translation effectively means that you are taking the translator's choice as the be all and end all; without considering that the translators also bring their own bias to the text.

Finally, this presentation shows among other things a very selective and shallow reading of Scripture. One example is including 1 Cor. 14 without also including 1 Cor. 11.

Wasn't the Seventh Day Adventist movement started by a woman?

It's terribly ironic that he claims women can't serve as spiritual leaders of the church over man while quoting a woman as the authority to make his point.

Was it God's or man's decision to go against the seeming teaching of scripture and ban slavery despite it being accepted in scripture.  Was it God's or man's decision that women should not be spoils of war, instead of simply giving guidelines about how to treat them if they did not please you once they were captured?  (See Deut 21).  Was it God's or man's decision to suggest that "an eye for an eye" was not as good an option as "turn the other cheek"?  Was it God's or man's decision to suggest that polygamy was not such a good idea despite it not being clearly present and unaddressed in the Old Testament?  Was it God's or man's decision that circumcision should not continue to be practiced or required?  Aside from the misleading nature (referenced in some of the other comments) of the material presented here, perhaps the problematic nature of an argument that fails to take culture and context into consideration can become evident, even with only a little bit of careful reflection.
