The fight with Wong Jack man was in private. Bruce Lee's wife Linda who witnessed the fight stated that the entire fight only lasted something like 30 to 90 seconds. Bruce Lee felt the fight should've lasted only something like 8 to 11 seconds. She also stated that the fight consisted of Bruce chasing around after Wong Jack Man only to have Wong Jack Man cower down in submission to Lee's attack. Bruce was disappointed with himself as he did feel he was out of condition not being able to end the fight much quicker
The untold part of the story is that outside after the fight, the opposition pulled an underhanded trick and had Bruce Lee confronted by someone who was big fast and strong. Much like a football player or a bouncer. The attacker came at Bruce Lee like a football player and wrapped him up and took him down with something like a football tackle where they wrestled in the bushes next to the sidewalk. The attacker having a great weight advantage on Lee was able to overpower him and tried to force Lee into submission. Bruce's back got injured during the grappling. Afterward when Bruce was able to recover from the back injury, he realized the ineffectiveness of his style and that is when he developed Jeet Kune Do.
We all know the rest of the story. He came roaring back having a successful return to martial arts and then television and major motion pictures.

not a real fight, it was a sparring demo. It was unique that it was the first time demoing wearing protective equipment so you could use full contact, it wasn't done like that until then. But it is a demo, not a 'real fight'. None have ever been filmed, only anecdotes and a few photos are out there..
