Everyone jokes about how Australia lost against emus, but nobody mentioned, that America lost against ants.

I shivered, I never shiver and the legs on my hair stuck up.

Like for 82 years of good ant luck.

Historically, bringing in another species to fight one hasn't worked out as expected.

A little clarification: 1:55 I said "imported" species, not "important" species. Sorry for not enunciating!

I mean, fire ants are still important, just maybe not for the best reasons.

I remember back then when I was in the military, my base was located in a hot area, the average was about 37-38 and capped at 40 degrees max. Ants there were a nightmare to most of us because they survived in hot weather, where event a grass couldn't survive. I swear that if you got stung by them, you just want to cut that part out of your body. It took several days to a week to recover from that stung. and you just got a permanent beautiful mark there forever

Yeah, I have a severe fire ant allergy. I almost stopped breathing last time I got a few stings. I don't know how I survived growing up in Texas.

Y'know, Mr. Fire Ant, a fly isn't really something to lose your head over. Deep breath in, deep breath out.

I was annoyed at why this channel doesn't upload that frequently but this video made me realise that I should be comparing it to something like V sauce and not sci show. Great video btw!

ant keepers know how special those first founding stages are and how naturally beautiful it is, shame fire ants aren't native to Australia, I would love to have a colony

Love 'em or hate 'em (and I'm guessing most people hate 'em), I hope this video helps you discover how interesting fire ants really are!

They're just trying to make a living…
