Communication has evolved immensely over the past century. We’ve gone from needing better ways to communicate, to wanting to constantly stay in touch, to now needing our privacy and the ability to partially disconnect. Just as social media wasn’t anticipated by industry experts, anonymity, or at least the option to be anonymous, is a necessary ability for today’s teens with important, and sometimes life-saving, benefits.

Michael has devoted his life to how technology can enhance communication. He made the world's first voiceless telephone call, and most recently helped build the largest teen-based social network in the U.S. Michael is changing the world positively by giving teens an online space where they can be themselves, share and connect with their school, and engage in positive online and offline activities.
