Nice job Lexi! Your insight and comparison discussion was spot on imo👍 I've had the same used 6×12 cargo trailer for over 15 years and use it for just about everything including construction work. Been through 3 trucks in that time. If you can afford the gas to haul it around I too believe a cargo trailer is the most utilitarian multi purpose affordable mobile living situation. And you've got all the bases covered with the truck and topper so if ya want to go quick and light, deeper into the back country you can detach the trailer, park it somewhere safe and head out for a more minimalist adventure.

I like the idea of a cargo trailer over van as well. You can set your trailer up the way you want your home set up, and not expect it to fall apart like an RV. And then my vehicle can be another extension of who I am. Right now my vehicle is a full overland 4 door jeep. I have the flexibility to replace my jeep with the open-top HMMWV I've been wanting while still keeping my rugged trailer at the same time. I can park my trailer at the foot of the mountain!

You do a great job of detailing the ramifications of various decisions. Great video! Your clear logic in this video got a 👍🏻 and a subscriber. The only difference in my plan is I’m using a 3500 Express Van as my tow vehicle, as it’s my mobile workshop, and tool center. My skill sets are as a maker, carpenter, welder, builder, so, leaving my house at a spot, and being able to get close to any given project with my tools. And, a lot of the reasons you cited. Again, well reasoned arguments, and solid answers. Keep up the good work!!

"I wish I was as important as a squirrel", tickled my fancy.... It seems my mind works like yours. I'm thinking of building out a trailer and just hitting the road. I'm fully retired and have disposable income; military retirement, VA disability and social security. Being in the military and driving a semi for ten years after, I can't seem to sit in any one place too long, I get bored. Love your channel and the way your mind works. Wise choice indeed! In a city, I think it’s actually more stealthy because people may assume it’s work related. I can see where it is the best choice with your life. Plus, I wager a guess that Riot loves it too. :-)
