Do rebound relationships last? Can a rebound relationship work out in the end? We are often asked this question in private coaching sessions.

If you are in the unfortunate position of having an ex dating someone else in a rebound relationship, you are dying to know the answer to this question: do rebound relationships last?

The short answer is, yes. There are rebound relationships that end up turning into long-term relationships, marriages, with kids, and they live happily ever after.

That should not discourage you. That should not scare you. The worst has already happened. Your ex being in a long-term relationship, getting married, and having kids, is not the worst thing that could ever happen to you. The worst that could ever happen to you is probably behind you. It's the breakup, separation, divorce, failed relationship itself. And you need to detach yourself from what your ex does with their new partner, boyfriend or girlfriend, because focusing on them and the success of their relationship is not going to help your chances of getting back together. All that you can do is focus on the things that you can control. To make sure that you do the next right action for you. To increase your level of attractiveness, to make sure that you are the most appealing version of you.

Ultimately, once you are able to pick yourself back up, after a painful breakup, and to completely transform yourself, to learn to grow, if your ex is still with their rebound, if they do not want to acknowledge or want to see that change, you will find peace, even if you are disappointed, you will find peace because you will have no regrets. You will have used this breakup as a catalyst to make yourself a better version of you, someone who is prepared to set themselves up for love.

Ultimately, the truth is that rebound relationships most of the time don't work because just like it was hard for you to deal with the breakup, it was just as hard for your ex. Jumping into another relationship to sweep everything under the rug doesn't sort everything out. It is a bandaid solution, which is why we call them bandaid relationships.

Usually, within a few short months, a breakup ends up happening. And if you've been focusing on your growth, putting your efforts in the right place, not let yourself get distracted, you will be in a prime position to rebuild a healthier relationship.

Thank you. My ex got quickly into another relationship and made it public on facebook. We were friends for a year and dated for 5 months, and she would not admit to anyone she was dating me and she would never say she was my gf. After a very emotional break up with both of each other still having feelings, my ex has no been in a relationship with an old friend only 2-3 months later after our break up. They have been together for a year now (although 10 months of it were long distance) and have moved in together two months ago...I though in the beginning he must be the band-aid but it seems like he could be true love and she says she is happy. How can someone be so lucky after being so heartbroken? He/she will face the truth of missing the "you".
I mean you will not come back for any reason, even if you are stuck.
If he/she wants you and they are not sure about you then they must learn about their mistakes in lifetime.You can't give yourself to them and mistreat you like a rubbish
