What a awesome tribute too another broad casting legend Derek Watts. I had the privilege of meeting him on two separate occasions a more humble and down to earth person will be hard to find. His pain and suffering is over. Rip Derek Watts 🙏🙏🙏

I worked for an ISP as a technical call center agent when he phoned in for support. We went through all the steps, and knowing it is Derek Watts, I went that extra mile to support him as I grew up watching him on TV. At the end of a 30 minute call I told him it seems his router is faulty and he needs to get it tested by an IT company. Usually people would complain when I asked them to do a couple of things to get connected again but he was cool and calm all the way - never complained once and excepted that his router was broken. Will never forget that call. After the call I was running around telling everyone I was on the phone with Derek Watts, haha!

We used to play squash and when our club played their club he joked more throughout the game. At the end of the match he looked like he hadn't hit a ball and his just about needed to be carried off the court. And the after drinks just got better. RIP Derek. Another icon gone too soon
